The Problem

The coating of the client’s circulation line was worn away, leaving the exposed metal vulnerable to corrosion. If left untreated, the problem would lead to plant downtime and lost production.

The Results

Mandros’s experienced blasters used a UHP coating removal process to remove the worn-out coating, then vacuumed away the debris and applied two fresh coats of protective coating to provide a strong new protective coating – all within deadline, without any interruption to the client’s workflow.

Prepared surface of the structure for new coating with an abrasive blast.

Install a novalac epoxy coating system in accordance with our quality control program and manufacturer’s specifications, providing a long-term solution to maximize the life of our client’s assets.

The Problem

High-opacity exhaust was causing inefficient power production, as well as risking problems with the EPA. The plant had to push their dirty precipitator to the limit, creating major spending problems and creating the need for a cleanout as soon as possible.

The Results

Working during a holiday to minimize disruption, the Mandros team removed buildup from the precipitator internals. The precipitator now runs at maximum capacity with a much lower opacity, reducing the plant’s costs significantly while creating a major increase in electricity production.

Within 24 hours of notification from the client assembled a quick response team with all necessary equipment and materials in order to accommodate the client’s urgent situation.

Highly trained in technique and safe working procedures the sandblasting team removed build up and ash from the precipitator’s internal while avoiding damage to the precipitator’s interior.

The Mandros team utilized multiple vac trucks to remove all debris within a fully contained environment to ensure compliance with the highest EPA standards.

After safely removing all debris, the team cleaned up the work area and demobilized all equipment and crew.
